The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas was definitely pumped up last night. The UFC 114 results featured some really big names, including the fight of the night: Rampage Jackson against Rashad Evans. Although not the headliner the Nogueira vs. Brilz fight still garnered a lot of attention from the crowd.
In the meantime, the UFC 114 results also included a Light Heavyweight fight between Antonio Rogerio Nogueira who wass 18-3-0 against Jason “Hitman” Brilz who was 18-2-1. Jason Brilz is known as a tough boxer and apparently feels that he has to prove himself in this division. In the meantime, he is in the fight because Forrest Griffin isn’t. Most experts slate him as a step down from Griffin on the Light Heavyweight ticket.
Brilz appeared to be tough with his striking game and does have a high school and collegiate background as a wrestler. He appeared dominant throughout the whole fight. Nogueira, who is known world-wide as a Brazilian jiu-jitsu Black Belt, did land some good hits.
